Targeted for grades kindergarten through fourth, funds were used to change the way teachers approached and used the arts in their classrooms.

The first objective of this grant was to equip teachers with the tools to incorporate all four art mediums (visual, performing, movement, music) into Core Curriculum Content Standards.

The second objective of the grant was to allow teachers to share what they had learned and what they were using in their classrooms with other educators by training in Understanding by Design.
