Camden Children's Garden Donation
Gloucester Township Campus
The students in the welding II & III program constructed a wheelbarrow garden ornament made entirely of recycled metals
and donated their creation to the Camden Children's Garden!
In just five days, these resourceful students rescued material like a 'heat exchanger' from the HVAC-R shop's metal trash bin.
They used one inch square tubing that was once the Bellmawr Fire Co. 'turnout gear rack'. Even metal roses and rose buds that were
fabricated in student practice sessions were recycled. The rake, shovel and pitchfork handles were all used pipe donated by a parent
who is renovating an abandoned building in Berlin, NJ. The round stock used for the pitchfork and rake were left over cut-offs from
a Graphics and Design class garden stake project.
Congratulations to the students who had the vision to create a wonderful garden ornament from recycled materials.
Gloucester Township Campus participated in the New Jersey Science League Competition. Since 1962, students from across the state
have competed in areas such as biology, chemistry, physics and other areas of science.
